A pretty clean game, despite the dodgy underfoot conditions and the HotScots' no nonsense (but fair) tackling style. Scott did, however, manage to get booked 30 minutes into the second half after pretty much 'halfing' one of the HotScots forwards. The forward also saw yellow for retaliating - brave man! |

Got to go for Fahd - after moving up front in the second half, he pretty much turned the game, creating holes in the HotScots backline with his nifty footwork, darting runs and clever layoffs. He was ably assisted by Dave, Jay and Phil, who kept the HotScots pinned near their own goal for much of the half - though the fact that we were playing down the 45 degree slope may also have been a factor in that! Honourable mentions go to Gary for a cultured performance at left back and Stu for a wonderful run in the second half that saw him breenge through three tackles as he rampaged up the middle of the park. Stu also came close to scoring the goal of the match in the second half with a blatant toe poke that curved only a couple of feet past the right hand post. |
